AB De Villiers: 360 Hitter Celebrating 36th birthday

Birthday boy AB de Villiers: Today (on 17 February) is the birthday of the legendary South African cricketer AB de Villiers. AB de Villiers, known as 'Mr. 360', has retired from international cricket because of his speciality of shooting a shot in any corner of the cricket ground, but the fastest century in international ODI cricket was made five years ago. The record is still maintained. He showed this charisma by scoring a century in 31 balls against the West Indies.
AB de Villiers started focusing on cricket after doing great work in tennis, golf, rugby. A great fielder and skilled wicketkeeper AB de Villiers made his international debut in cricket against England in the Port Elizabeth Test on 17 December 2004. However, he started getting recognition in 2008 when he hit a double century against India. He then scored 174 not out in Haddingley and 106 not out in Perth to lead his team to historic Test series victories in England and Australia.

AB de Villiers scored an unbeaten 278 not out against Pakistan in the 2010 Abu Dhabi Test match, which was the highest Test cricket score for South Africa at the time. His record was broken two years later by Hashim Amla when he scored an unbeaten 311 not out against England at the Oval.
Retired from International cricket in 2018
De Villiers retired from international cricket in 2018. He had expressed his desire to return to the South African team before the 2019 World Cup but the team management had not agreed. There is still speculation about his return to the South African squad for his limited-overs format. It seems that if he performs well in IPL 2020, he can be seen playing in this year's T20 World Cup.

Broken ABD on Caribbean bowlers:
AB de Villiers, known as ABD, wreaked on West Indies bowlers in Johannesburg on 18 January 2015 when he broke New Zealand's Corey Anderson's world record for the fastest century in international ODI cricket. De Villiers had completed a century in just 31 balls. He also held the world record for the fastest 150 runs in International ODI cricket in Sydney against the West Indies on 27 February 2015, he reached this destination in 64 balls.
